About Ban Pho Temple

Wat Ban Pho is a religious sect affiliated with Wat Rat, located on the banks of the Bang Pakong River in Khlong Ban Pho sub-district, Ban Pho district, Chachoengsao province.
The temple was permitted to be established (built) in B.E. 2323, granted by King Visung Kamasima on January 15, B.E. 2513. The individual who donated the land for the temple construction, along with significant structures such as the Sala, the Kuti, and the Ubosoth, as well as paintings and murals depicting stories from the Buddha's history, are all important aspects. Additionally, there is a two-story Priyati Dhamma school building, half of which was constructed with plaster in B.E. 2480.
Furthermore, the temple undertook the construction of Luang Pu Thuat Park (stepping on fresh water), the largest in the East. Initially, only the head of Luang Pu Thuat was built, starting in B.E. 2554, and it was placed in the middle of the temple. After more than three years, it was completed and stands at a height of 26 meters.
